I receive my inspiration from the vast creations of nature. The ocean, rivers and trees, the many moods of the sky,  horses are  things as a human and an artist I couldn’t live without. As a young child growing up on the northern tip of Vancouver Island, I have been accustomed to drawing on these natural elements for inspiration. Having lived my life with the benefit of having this rugged, environmental aesthetic as my developing environment I feel I have been shaped by these things. Over time I have observed that my work has taken on a specific quality. I notice a soft expressive style that to me reflects the wild and organic expression of creation itself. Like in nature, although wild a peaceful feeling is evoked.
